I have some major events happening in the next 12 months.
“BASS-ED in HOBART” is my next big show. It will be held at the Moonah Arts Centre on the 18th of July 2008 at 7.30pm. This time I will be showcasing some of Hobart’s other talented bass players as well as myself. The show will consist of solo spots from Bob Tolpot, Richard Armstrong, Charles Harris and myself (all ably backed by Mathew Ives on drums). We will also perform 2 duo pieces and a group piece I have written for the ensemble. This is the next step in my master plan!!!!
In January next year I will be hosting the very first “BASS DAY TASMANIA”!!!!! THIS IS HUGE NEWS. Nothing like this has been available in Tasmania before, so get in on the ground floor (or even the bass-ment) and be part of this and many more future BASS DAYS.
The date is yet to be confirmed but is only days away from being finalised. Enrolment forms will be posted here soon.
I’m also close to finishing a CD with Adrian Bryan, who I worked with on the last Bass Jump. Adrian is a fine guitarist and the disc will be full to the brim with new music that is guaranteed to lift your spirits.
The other news is I’m also working on a CD of more computer based music I have been creating this for some time and will show a very different side of what I do.
